I don’t know Maudie Miller’s story, not yet. But her gaze stopped me in my tracks. There’s something in the way she sits, the confidence in her posture, and the quiet mystery she holds.

 

I gave her wings because she already seemed to carry something beyond herself, like a spirit ready to take flight. The image becomes less about who she was and more about what she suggests. A presence, a possibility, a life just out of reach.
